Bio organic technologies & additives
Alps Eco provide a range of bio-organic technologies, additives and stabilisers for use in Anaerobic Digestion (AD), biogas, water treatment and waste management processing. They include commodity chemicals, like Lime and Ferric Chloride. Proprietary treatments like Bio-organic Catalyst and bespoke micro-nutrients such as Copper, Nickel and Cobalt. We also design & install dosing systems and monitoring equipment to simplify the application of these additives.
Swimming pools & spas
The more you enjoy your pool or Spa the more maintenance it requires to keep the water clean and clear. That tends to mean adding more chemicals, which aren’t great for bathers, those who apply them or the environment.
As pool owners, who are also biochemists, we sought to develop a way to keep pool water clear and reduce the amount of chemicals needed to sanitise it. Afterall, it’s the chlorine that makes the water smell and irritates the eyes and skin.
The heart of the challenge is the bather. They carry with them oil, grease, lotion, cosmetics and a bit of dirt. This gets deposited in the water creating a biological film which clouds the water and allows bacteria to grow. Large amounts of chlorine and chemical additives are then needed to sanitise and clear the pool.
Alps Eco Pool Clear & Alps Eco Spa Clear products remove the grease, oil and particles left by bathers reducing the biological film which denies the bacteria a home. Addressing the contamination source keeps the water clean and fresh for longer so less chlorine is needed. The result is a more natural “less sting, low odour swimming experience” for bathers.
